Jessica Hardwick brings a passion for barter
and more than 15 years of high-technology
experience to her latest challenge —
founding and leading SwapThing. Her goal is to
greatly increase the incidence of barter by making
it faster, easier and more inexpensive.
Prior to founding SwapThing, Jessica was founder
and president of geek2chic.com, a
content/e-commerce web site dedicated to forming
an online community based on a broad range of
interests. She directed the company's growth to
nearly 30 employees and five million monthly hits.
Ms. Hardwick began her career in sales support and
customer support before moving to Silicon
Graphics, at which she served in a series of
increasingly responsible positions, including
Developer Programs Manager and Internet Alliance
Manager. In the latter position, she managed
strategic relationships with more than 100 global
Internet partners. She later was Director of
Partner Programs at RightPoint and Senior Partner
Marketing Manager at PrimeResponse.
A native of Scotland, Jessica holds a bachelor's
degree in economics from Santa Clara University,
and is currently working towards an MBA, also at
Santa Clara University. |

Kohlmeier, Co-Founder and Vice President of

Brian Kohlmeier brings to SwapThing years of
experience in planning, development and management
of editorial content for web sites and a wide
variety of print vehicles. He has served as
production editor for an online card catalog
service, editorial assistant for a contract
technical writing firm, manager for an online
event directory, newsletter editor for a large
organization of masters swimmers, and content
editor for a community-oriented web site. He
brings vast expertise in pop culture mediums to
the SwapThing team. Brian holds a bachelor's
degree in communications from the University of
California at Santa Barbara. |

Kohlmeier, Chairman, Board of Directors |
Roger Kohlmeier leverages experience from
approximately three decades in the business world.
Kohlmeier currently is founder and Chairman of the
Board of Yolo County Community Bank. He was also
founder and then President and CEO of Bank of
Woodland (now Business & Professional Bank) in
Woodland, California, for 12 years. In addition,
he was Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of
Capitol Bank of Commerce in Sacramento,
California, and a vice president and loan officer
with Bank of America. Kohlmeier also has a long
history of work with community and professional
organizations. Among other positions, he is past
president of the Woodland United Way, past
president of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the
greater Sacramento area, past president of
Community Bankers of Northern California, and past
director of the California Bankers Association. He
holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural business
management from California Polytechnic University
at San Luis Obispo. He is also a graduate of the
University of Washington's Pacific Coast Bank
